I've had a soft spot for scooters for a while, and this bubblegum-pink Vespa finally made it onto a card. It's parked against a cheerful lime-green wall, mirrors angled out like it's just waiting for someone to hop on and go get gelato. There's no rider, no destination — just a very cute scooter having a very good day in the sun.
About This Painting
Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. The scooter's body is built from smooth pink watercolor gradients with opaque white gouache highlights along the curves to give it that glossy, freshly-washed look, while the chrome mirrors and headlight are picked out in cool grey gouache. The green wall behind it is left looser and more textured so the scooter stays the star of the card.
This is a one-of-a-kind original — once it's gone, this exact painting won't exist again.
