I don't know why cats think the top of someone's head is a good place to nap, but I fully support it. This little painting is pure comfort — a girl with long chestnut hair, a cat curled up asleep on top like it's the coziest pillow in the world, and a scatter of golden stars just because the scene needed a little magic.
About This Painting
Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. Her hair is built from warm brown watercolor washes with fine gouache strands, and the sleeping cat is worked in soft cream gouache to keep it light and fluffy against the darker hair beneath it.
