A little frog caught mid-climb up a flower stem, looking straight out at you like it's just as surprised to see you as you are to see it. This is one half of a pair of matching flower-stem frog studies I painted together.
About This Painting
Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. The frog is built from layered green watercolor washes with darker gouache spotting for texture, perched on a stem worked in soft botanical greens.
