I wanted to paint the most mundane, human bathroom moment I could think of and hand it to a frog instead. So here she is: towel wrapped under the arms, curlers in, giving the camera (or whoever walked in) a completely unimpressed stare. The little pencil details — the wall outlet, the hairdryer waiting on its cord — are left loose and sketchy on purpose, like the scene isn't quite finished getting ready yet.

Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. Her green skin is built from layered watercolor washes, while the towel's white gouache highlights and the curlers keep the top half of the painting bright against all that green. The grumpy expression is doing most of the work here.
