Frog Among Toadstool Mushrooms — New Original ACEO Now in the Shop

There's a little green frog in my sketchbook who found the coziest spot in the whole forest — tucked right at the base of three glowing red-and-white toadstools, ringed with white wildflowers and a scatter of firefly-gold sparkles. He's not doing anything dramatic, just sitting there with that classic wide-eyed frog stare, completely at home among the mushrooms. I wanted this one to feel like a page out of a woodland storybook — a little damp, a little magical, and very, very small.

About This Painting

Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. The toadstool caps are built from layered watercolor washes, deep red fading to soft cream at the gills, while the frog and the scattered sparkles are opaque gouache so they sit up bright against the shadowy green backdrop. Tiny gouache wildflowers dot the undergrowth, giving the whole scene a quiet, overgrown feel.

This is a one-of-a-kind original — once it's gone, this exact painting won't exist again.
