This is the first in a little set of fried-egg studies I've been having way too much fun with. Just one sunny-side-up egg, glossy yolk and all, popping against a soft pink background — simple, graphic, and a little bit hungry-making.
About This Painting
Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. The egg white is built from soft translucent watercolor washes, while the yolk is worked in dense, glossy gouache to give it that wet, just-cooked shine.
This is a one-of-a-kind original — once it's gone, this exact painting won't exist again.
