I love the little in-between moments of city life — someone stepping out onto their balcony just to look at the view, another figure below on a lower floor doing the same. Nothing dramatic, just two tiny silhouettes and a building full of warm, glowing windows against the evening blue. It felt like painting a memory I don't even actually have.
About This Painting
Watercolor and gouache mixed media on a 2.5"x3.5" ACEO card. The building is built from layered blue-grey watercolor washes for that hazy evening light, with opaque yellow gouache for the glowing windows and fine ink-like linework picking out the balcony railings and silhouetted figures.
This is a one-of-a-kind original — once it's gone, this exact painting won't exist again.
